Mary Immaculate College (MIC) will join communities across Ireland in celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Culture Night on Friday, 19 September, by opening its Limerick and Thurles campuses to the public.
E&CE champion inclusive and accessible community learning events at MIC. We organise and manage College events that make a significant educational, social and cultural impact in Limerick City and beyond. E&CE's outreach work has also enabled us to forge strong links with the community.
The inaugural Wellbeing Research for Education Conference took place in Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick on Saturday 7 June, with the theme of 'Well what? Interrogating wellbeing across the education continuum'.
The one-day event welcomed attendees with an interest in wellbeing, including participants from both inside and outside of education, educators, students, researchers, and others who wanted to share their views or research in this area. The conference also provided a platform for the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and personal research findings among attendees.
Those who are interested in the rich tradition of literature and writing as Gaeilge in the Déise and among the wider south-eastern community are invited to the inaugural Comhdháil an Oirdheiscirt 2024, which will take place on Saturday 7 September in Waterford.
The event, which will be conducted entirely through Irish, is a collaboration between MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles and South East Technological University (SETU), and will take place in SETU Arena in Waterford City.
