College’s First Logo

Final year students designed an emblem for the College. The badge, in the shape of a star, enclosing 12 smaller stars in intermingled blue, white and silver, was symbolic of Mary Immaculate - patroness of the College.

The words “Veritas, Coláiste Mhuire gan Smál”, inscribed in a circle within the star, were indicative of truth and honour - traits to be promoted by Mary Immaculate graduates in the discharge of their duties as teachers. The central lily was patterned on the main mosaic design in the sanctuary of the College.
