Progression to part two of the degree (from Year Two onward) will be competitive as there are limited places, and it will be decided on the basis of Year One terminal QCA in addition to a workshop and interview process.

At undergraduate level, we offer our unique flagship single honours programme - the BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies; this is dedicated to the study of all aspects of drama and theatre studies, with particular emphasis on the contemporary ways of making and receiving theatre and how drama can be used in a range of settings beyond the stage. Students can also take Drama & Theatre Studies as a subject on the joint BA programme.
Two new books from MIC’s Department of Drama & Theatre Studies were celebrated at a special event at Limerick’s Belltable Theatre in Limerick recently. The books cover a divergent topics and timeframes, with one exploring the relationship between drama and the socio-cultural context of global affairs and the other discussing the key works of noted Church of Ireland writers historically.
The Department of Philosophy at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, was presented with an important and valuable archive when Paul and Luke Drury gifted their father's collection of papers to the College. Maurice (or Con as he was more commonly referred to) Drury was born in 1907 in Exeter, of Irish parents.
