The BA in Early Childhood Care and Education (International) is a full-time, four-year, honours degree programme, designed to provide an exciting and challenging programme for those interested in working with young children, from birth to six years of age, in a range of educational settings. It provides a highly-regarded qualification in this most rewarding area, and was developed in response to contemporary developments in the field of early years education both in Ireland and internationally.

The aim of MIC’s EDII infrastructure is to create a set of working groups/committees, policies and practices to support the embedding of EDII across MIC. Current committees include: the MIC Equality Committee and EDII Implementation Committee.
The aim of MIC EDII Project Awards are to catalyse and embed EDII across the College through new collaborative activities. These awards encourage collaboration and partnerships between professional service and academic staff along with students and community organisations.
The MIC EDII Office is a College service that exists to embed an ethos and practice of equality, diversity, inclusion and interculturalism (EDII) at Mary Immaculate College-underpinned by a whole institutional approach with the staff and student community, and external partners. The mission and strategy of the EDII Office is aligned and guided by the MIC Strategic Plan.
Since 2018, MIC has been committed to the development of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Interculturalism (EDII) and this is embedded within the Strategic Plan, ‘A Flourishing Learning Community 2020-2023’.
