Leaving Cert Study Scheme - MIC Library

MIC Library's Leaving Certificate Study Scheme 2024

MIC Library is pleased to provide library study access to sixth year students preparing for this year’s Leaving Certificate exams. The Leaving Certificate Study Scheme will run from the 27th May until the 25th June 2024.  The Scheme is available in both the Limerick and Thurles libraries.

Library Opening hours for Limerick and Thurles: 

9.00am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm on Friday.

The Scheme will run from 27th May until 25th June 2024.

Please note the Library has a late opening of 12 noon on Wednesday 29th May

Both MIC Libraries will be closed on Monday 3rd June 2024

To apply:

  • Read the library regulations below and complete this form:

 Leaving Cert Study Scheme Form

  • You will receive an email when your application has been approved, which will contain information about when and where to collect your library access card
  • Students who are under 18 years of age are required to print this consent form and return it complete with a signature from a parent or guardian when collecting their library card 

 
Library Access

  • Each student is issued with a library access card that they can use for the duration of the study scheme 
  • The access card is the responsibility of the student it has been issued to and can only be used by that student
  • Lost cards should be reported to library staff at the reception desk of either library
  • Please return the card to library staff at the reception desk at the end of the scheme

Terms and Conditions

Each student should read and agree to the library's terms and conditions below before filling out the form.

  • Mobile phones must be set to silent mode in the Library
  • Students must behave in an appropriate manner in the Library
  • Noise should be kept to a minimum throughout the Library
  • Students must not cause any disturbance that is likely to distract or inconvenience others
  • Food is not permitted in the Library
  • Water in non-spill bottles is permitted throughout the Library
  • Printing, photocopying or scanning services are not available
  • Borrowing is not available
  • Library stock, equipment and fittings must not be damaged, defaced, removed without authorisation, concealed or otherwise interfered with
  • Access to Library PCs or laptops is not available

You will be asked to leave if you do not comply with the above.
