Dr Marc Scully

Marc has been a lecturer in the Department of Psychology since 2017. He is a social psychologist who gravitates towards qualitative methods and analysis, in particular critical discursive psychology. He is interested in social constructions of identity and 'authenticity', particularly in the context of migration, diaspora and transnationalism. His most recent research projects have looked at:
a. The phenomenon of the rise in applications for Irish passports following the Brexit referendum.
b. Transnational families during the Covid pandemic.
