Research interests

French colonial history and the trials of decolonization; French intellectual history; Representations/constructions of the French Republic and national identities; Impact and legacies of World War II and 20th-century French & Francophone literature. Creative narratives and the interrogation/construction and representation of colonial and migrant narratives. Second language acquisition, teaching language through music and the introduction/teaching of Modern languages in the primary classroom.
