Good Neighbour
At Mary Immaculate College (MIC), our neighbourhood is a shared space and a shared responsibility. Respectful, community-minded behaviour from students, staff and residents helps us build strong relationships and a culture of being Good Neighbours. Together, we maintain a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and where college life and community life thrive side by side.

Think Good Neighbour
MIC is part of a shared, local community. How we behave as staff, students and residents affects people around us.
Living together means sharing space and sharing responsibility. This starts with how we treat one another as neighbours.
At MIC, we follow four simple pillars of being a good neighbour:
- Be Considerate - Think ahead about noise, guests, where you park your car, bins and everything in between. Consider how your actions could negatively affect the lives of your neighbours.
- Be Aware - Understand that your neighbours’ daily lives and needs might differ from yours. Be aware of their differing schedules, bedtimes and lifestyles.
- Be Respectful - Treat others in your community as you would like to be treated. Be respectful to everyone in the community.
- Be Accountable - Be somebody the community trusts and know they can count on.
Be a CARA.
