Mary Immaculate College (MIC) has been awarded the TrustEd Ireland quality mark, a new statutory national mark designed to safeguard and enhance the experience of international learners in Ireland.
TrustEd Ireland forms part of a suite of legislative measures aimed at protecting international students and promoting confidence in Irish education, both nationally and internationally. The mark is awarded to higher education and English language providers that demonstrate compliance with national standards to ensure a high-quality experience for international learners, from pre-enrolment through to the completion of their studies.
As a recognised TrustEd Ireland provider, MIC has demonstrated that it meets these standards and is authorised to recruit non-EU/EEA learners on programmes requiring immigration permissions or study visas.
Welcoming the announcement, Sarah Power, International Office Manager at MIC, said:
“We are proud to receive the TrustEd Ireland quality mark. It reflects the care, integrity and professionalism that underpin our work with international students every day. At MIC, we are committed to ensuring that students from around the world feel supported, included and valued throughout their entire academic journey with us.”
Welcoming the quality mark, Emma Barry, Quality Assurance Manager at MIC, added:
"MIC’s authorisation to use the TrustEd Ireland mark is a recognition that MIC complies with national standards designed to ensure a high-quality experience for international learners from enrolment. The Quality Office welcomes in particular the review panel’s commendation of the positive institutional ethos to include learners in key quality processes as full participants."
The TrustEd Ireland mark signals to prospective students and partners worldwide that MIC offers a secure, transparent and student-centred environment, reinforcing the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in international education.
