MIC Limerick Campus has an extensive audio-visual collection which is held on the first floor of the library.
DVDs - The library has a collection of over 3000 DVDs. These are mainly feature films, documentaries and television series and are used to support the media studies undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Newspapers (microfilm) – The collection consist mainly of national and regional newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries and include the collection 20th Century Irish Political and Radical Newspapers (IPRN). There are also newspapers from the 18th century, including the Freeman’s Journal.
Irish Folklore Collection (microfilm) – The library holds in microfilm Ms.1 – Ms.1889 of the Main Manuscript Collection of the National Folklore Collection (original held in UCD)
Irish Life & Lore (CDs) - Audio recordings compiled by Maurice O’Keeffe and Jane O’Keeffe, Tralee. Voices have been captured as they discuss their own lives and histories, along with personal and family experiences of events in Irish national and social history.

Microfilm is not available for loan. DVDs are available for 4 Hour loan, 1 Day and 3 Day (depending on Loan Type). Other materials are available for 2 Week, 3 Day and 4 Hour loan. Students going on School Placement may take items from the General Lending collection for the duration of their Teaching Practice.
