MIC International Student Ambassador Programme

Are you an incoming international student at Mary Immaculate College? Are you passionate about sharing your experiences and representing your fellow international students? If so, we invite you to apply for our International Student Ambassador Programme.

What is involved?

As an International Student Ambassador, you will have the unique opportunity to:

  • Represent the MIC international community - act as a voice for your peers at MIC events and on social media, sharing your journey and insights with a wider audience. You will be an active representative of the International Society at MIC.
  • Create engaging social media content - produce at least two social media reels/clips per month on topics related to your study abroad experience at MIC or in Limerick/Ireland. Your posts will be shared on MIC International Office official social media channels.
  • Write monthly blog posts - share your experiences and perspectives through one blog post per month, either on topics you suggest or those provided by the International Office. See examples of previous blog posts on MIC Insights here.
  • Tag us in your social media posts - when you post about your study abroad experience at MIC, in Limerick or in Ireland in general, tag the MIC International Office in your posts if you want us to share on our official channels.
  • Attend and support events - represent the MIC international student body at various events and functions, and assist the International Officers during events organised for international students.
  • Volunteer for a minimum of one hour per week throughout the semester.

In return for your dedication, you will receive:

  • Official MIC International Student Ambassador merchandise
  • A certificate of participation to acknowledge your valuable contributions
  • A voucher of up to €200 – subject to your performance
  • Professional development opportunities - enhance your CV with experience in public representation, social media management, and event support. These skills are highly regarded by future employers and will distinguish you in the job market.

Please note that this position is unpaid. However, the experience and skills you gain will be invaluable, both personally and professionally.
