Be a Buddy for an international student at MIC! The International Office at MIC is running a 'buddy system' for international students coming to MIC for their exchange semester or for their full-degree studies – and we are looking for MIC full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students who would like to be their 'buddy' for a semester.

What is a buddy system?
The idea of the Buddy System is for international students to connect with full-time undergraduate students - make them feel welcome on campus and in Limerick and share your experiences of being a student at MIC.
As a Buddy, you can relate to their experience of coming to a new country or new university. You might even have been on a semester abroad yourself (though this is not a requirement for being a Buddy – anyone can join!).
What does being a Buddy mean?
Being a Buddy means
- Participating in a free pizza night in week 1 of the semester, where you will meet your international buddies.
- Checking in on your buddy during the semester, to make sure they’re settling in well and are doing okay.
By the end of the semester, you can request a certificate that will confirm your participation in the programme and which could be beneficial for your CV
