Student ID Cards

New ID Card

For new Undergraduate students attending MIC Limerick 

Students will receive their MIC Student ID Cards at Orientation. Their photo will be taken on the day, and their card will be processed immediately on site.

For new Undergraduate students attending MIC Thurles and new Postgraduate students

Students need to upload a headshot photograph to get an MIC Student ID Card.

To upload your photograph, please visit idcard.mic.ul.ie. Please email SAA@mic.ul.ie when you have successfully uploaded your photo.

Please note, your login is your ID number and your password is your Network Logon password (which you use to log in to your MIC Student Email account and Moodle for example).

How to upload your ID photograph.

Once you have uploaded your photograph, emailed SAA, and successfully completed Online Module Registration for Semester 1, your Student ID Card will be printed and posted to your home address.

If you experience any difficulty uploading your photograph, please email SAA@mic.ul.ie.

Replacement ID Card

To order a replacement student ID card, please complete the following steps:

Please note: There is a €10 fee for a replacement ID card.

  1. Complete the 'Charges' form here - Complete the form and select 'Replacement student ID cards: €10' from the drop-down list. Proceed to the payment screen. When payment is completed, a proof of payment reference number will appear on screen (make a note of this/take a screenshot), and you will also receive an email receipt to your student email.
  2. Complete the 'Replacement ID Card Request' form here - Your student ID card will not be processed until we receive this form, along with your proof of payment (payment ref number/upload screenshot).
  3. The SAA Office will email you when your card is ready for collection.  

The SAA Office is located in Room 112, First Floor Foundation Building.

SAA Office opening hours are Monday - Friday: 10am-12.30pm and 2pm-4.30pm.
