Dr Emma Reardon

Dr Emma Reardon is an Assistant Professor in Business at Mary Immaculate College. Before joining MIC, Emma was Acting Head of the Department of Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure at the Technological University of the Shannon (Athlone Campus). She was also the first Programme Coordinator for the Dublin City University and Technological University of the Shannon Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Technology (DC016).
Emma brings a wealth of hands-on practitioner experience and specialist industry knowledge to the higher education sector. Other academic appointments include a Senior Lectureship (Teaching Track) in Management at the University of Surrey. Emma is currently a Fellow of Advance HE and a recipient of the Lewis Elton Award for Educational Innovation by the Surrey Institute of Education.
Emma completed her PhD in Quality Management in 2020 at Technological University Dublin. She also holds a Master of Arts in International Tourism from the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Studies with Event Management from Limerick Institute of Technology [now Technological University of the Shannon].
