Following the success of last year’s event, Mary Immaculate College (MIC) Thurles, in partnership with the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD), will host the fourth annual Summer Colloquium on Monday, 15 June at its St Patrick's Campus.
This year’s colloquium, Lessons in School Leadership, is designed for aspiring and emerging school leaders and will focus on the practical realities of leadership in today’s educational landscape. With a particular emphasis on mentoring and mentorship, the event will provide opportunities for participants to learn from experienced educational leaders while reflecting on their own professional development and leadership journeys.
The programme will feature keynote presentations, fireside conversations with system and school leaders, and an interactive workshop to support participants in building confidence, capacity and clarity in their leadership practice.
Set within a collaborative and supportive environment, the colloquium aims to create space for participants to connect with peers, share experiences and gain practical insights that can be applied in school settings.
