New video showcases the complete Limerick Student City Experience

Mary Immaculate College (MIC), in collaboration with Limerick City and County Council, University of Limerick (UL), Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), and Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB), has launched a new promotional video celebrating Limerick as one of Ireland’s leading destinations for students.

The new Experience Limerick video forms part of the ongoing promotion of the Limerick Student City brand and highlights the city as a place that offers not only academic excellence but also a rich, dynamic and fulfilling student lifestyle. The video is being rolled out as part of a targeted CAO Deadline social media campaign throughout January, leading up to CAO Deadline on 1 February.

The new video captures the rhythm, pace and multifaceted nature of Limerick, celebrating the relationship between students and the city they come to love and call home. Featuring students from MIC, UL, TUS, and LCETB, the video follows them as they move from campus into the heart of the city, enjoying its cultural life, social scene, outdoor spaces and recreational opportunities.

Expanding on how education and place combine to shape the student journey in Limerick, Sinead Copeland, Deputy Director/Programme Marketing Manager from the MIC Strategic Communications and Marketing Office, said:

“At MIC, state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional academic programmes are strengthened by everything Limerick offers as a vibrant student city. Our campus sits just minutes from a lively, welcoming city centre filled with culture, cafés, events, and creative energy, while peaceful parks and riverside walks provide room to relax and recharge. This combination ensures our students can thrive academically while enjoying an outstanding quality of life.”

Welcoming the launch of the social media campaign, Mayor of Limerick, John Moran said:

“This initiative once again demonstrates the strong partnership between the Council and Limerick’s tertiary education providers in positioning Limerick as a destination of choice for education. Central to my Mayoral Programme is the goal of enhancing community life, culture and a sense of belonging across our city, and students play a vital role in that. Students contribute enormously to the energy, creativity and diversity of life in Limerick. I encourage CAO applicants to discover the full range of opportunities Limerick offers, both on campus and across the city and county, to enrich every aspect of their student experience.”

Speaking about the role of the campaign itself, Head of Marketing and Communications at Limerick City and County Council, Donn O’Sullivan commented:

“The Experience Limerick video is designed to show prospective students and their families what life here really feels like. It goes beyond campuses to highlight the culture, energy and everyday moments that give Limerick a different kind of energy. As part of our CAO campaign, this video plays a key role in positioning Limerick as a city that delivers not just excellent education, but a complete and memorable student experience.”

The Limerick Student City brand aligns closely with the Limerick: Atlantic Edge, European Embrace master brand, showcasing the many benefits of living and studying in a city that is outward-looking, welcoming and full of opportunity.
