
Mary Immaculate College (MIC) was pleased to welcome Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD, on his inaugural visit to the college on Thursday 26 April.
During the visit, discussions focused on MIC’s strategic priorities, including plans its new library development, as well as the College’s evolving role in research, innovation and teacher education. Minister Lawless also engaged with developments in the area of teacher education alongside new trajectories in the area of childhood.
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight MIC’s role in higher education as Ireland’s largest provider of teacher education, a leading centre for the humanities and social sciences, and its commitment to addressing emerging societal and educational challenges.
