Mary Immaculate College (MIC) wishes to advise members of the public that all classes on its Limerick and Thurles campuses have been cancelled on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 as a result of planned industrial action.
Colleagues who are members of IFUT, FORSA and SIPTU will be participating in a 24-hour strike on that date. In light of the notified industrial action, the College has taken the decision to cancel all scheduled classes across both campuses.
Students have been advised not to attend timetabled classes on Wednesday, 14 October. Information regarding any activities, events or services that may be affected will be communicated directly to the relevant groups where necessary.
MIC regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks students, staff, visitors and stakeholders for their understanding and cooperation. Further updates will be communicated through the College website and official communication channels as required.
