STEM Education Conference
The STEM Education Conference took place on 22-23 May 2026 at MIC Limerick.
The theme and title of the conference was 'Integrated STEM for a Future-Ready Generation: Implementing Ireland’s new primary STEM curriculum through interdisciplinary learning and emerging technologies'.

About the STEM Education Conference
This two-day conference offered a timely and substantive opportunity to examine STEM education across the full continuum from policy formulation to classroom enactment, with particular attention to its capacity to enrich and enhance teaching and learning. Situated within the context of Ireland’s recently introduced STEM curriculum, the conference foregrounded the transformative potential of integrated, interdisciplinary approaches to learning that foster creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving among learners.
Day one of the conference focused on research relating to integrated STEM learning, aimed primarily at teacher educators, with day two focusing more on practitioner workshops, suitable for in-service teachers across all class levels.
