Passing on the Torch - a History of Mary Immaculate College 1898-1998

Passing on the Torch - a History of Mary Immaculate College 1898-1998, written by Sr Loreto O'Connor, President of MIC from 1959 to 1979, was published in 1998.

As one era passed into another, this brief story of MIC was written to commemorate the centenary of its founding and to honour the generations of staff and students whose spirit and dedication contributed so much to the atmosphere and values evident in the daily life of the College.

Throughout the MIC Timeline, we have featured interesting excerpts and highlights from the book relating to key events and dates in the College’s history. Passing on the Torch is available on loan from the MIC Library.
