Mary Immaculate College (MIC) has been shortlisted across several categories at the Education Awards 2026, with nominations spanning international engagement, collaboration, outreach and professional development.

The College’s International Office is nominated for three awards—Best Erasmus Programme, the International Engagement Award, and Best Collaboration Award – International for the MIC/Capes Programme. These nominations reflect the Office’s leadership in mobility, global partnership and innovative international collaboration, in addition to playing an important role in the internationalisation strategy at MIC.

Welcoming the recognition, Dr Holly Cowman, Director of International Engagement at MIC:

“We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for three awards this year. It is a real testament to the dedication, creativity and professionalism of the International Office team at MIC, who work tirelessly to create meaningful global opportunities for our students and staff.”

MIC is also shortlisted twice for the Best Collaboration Award – Domestic (Public Good, Culture & Social Impact) for the research project Transforming Gender Equality and Inclusion Within Higher Education in Ireland. This research product was led the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Interculturalism (EDII) Office. Also shortlisted in the same category is the partnership between the College and Middletown Centre for Autism for the Graduate Suite in Autism Studies programmes, an award winning collaboration that delivers accredited postgraduate programmes in autism studies.
