Covid-19 Update
During this period of college closure, MIC Library’s online services continue to be available 24 hours per day to students and staff, and these are accessible via the Library Website.
Library Opening
We do not yet have a definite date for Library re-opening but we will update this page as soon as we know more.
Book Returns
We are asking all students and staff to hold onto their books until the Library re-opens. No fines will be charged for overdue items and all due dates will be extended to allow plenty of time for students to return books.
Book Borrowing
As the Library is still closed, we do not have the facility to loan books at the moment, but we have a wide range of e-books that are searchable through the Library's search engine on our home page.
Library Services
Information on Library Services can be found through our A-Z of Services page. We have also put together a Subject Guide with video tutorials on accessing and using basic library services.
Help finding information
We have created a 'How to search Library Resources' Subject Guide to help students learn how to find information. If you need further support please contact the Library at the email address listed below for more help.
Information Literacy/ Library Orientation Classes
For staff looking to book an Information Literacy or Library Orientation session for their students, we are available to facilitate online sessions at a time and date that suits your students. Please contact our Information & User Services Librarian, Gary LaCumber, for more information: gary.lacumber@mic.ul.ie
How to Contact Us and Get Help
Library staff will be available to answer online queries from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. All user queries should be emailed to library@mic.ul.ie or sent through the Ask A Question link on the Library Website. Information on all MIC Library Services is also available on our A-Z of Services page on the Library Website.
