| One of the key successes of the TED project has been the formation of two Networks of schools, one urban and one rural. Both Networks endeavour to fulfil the Mission Statement of the TED project by working towards enabling educationally disadvantaged children to reach their full potential. |

| Urban Network |
|
|
|
|
The Urban Network is called PLUS (Primary Liaison with University Services) and consists of representatives from 18 DEIS Primary Schools and two other schools, St Augustinès and St. Canices in Limerick City. The Network meets once a month in Mary Immaculate College. |

| Rural Network |
|
|
|
The Rural Network, comprising of 11 DEIS Primary Schools in the Western Province of the Mercy Congregation, is called Cur Le Chéile, and holds its meetings each term at the Mercy Primary School, Tuam, Co. Galway. |

| Oscailt Network |

|
|
In the spring of 2008 the Limerick Regional offices of the Department of Education and Science (DES) were successful in their bid for Dormant Accounts Funding. They secured 1.7 million, and established the Dormant Accounts (Educational Disadvantage) Fund ‘to enable DEIS band 1 Schools in Limerick city to open after school hours to maximise community use of school premises and facilities’. A total of 22 schools, 16 Primary and 6 Secondary are involved in this initiative. |
