RESEARCH AT MARY IMMACULATE COLLEGE

Dear Colleagues and Visitors, Thank you for visiting the Mary Immaculate College Research Website. The site is designed to provide an overview of research activities conducted here, as well as information on our policies and procedures for research. Some links are for staff use only and require pin access, but most are open to all site users and visitors.

Our researchers are engaged in local, national and international projects and in postgraduate research supervision to doctoral level. Faculty members are increasingly involved in educational research and in research in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, adapting and advancing education in line with the needs of society at large. Researchers receive comprehensive support from my office, in areas such as research bid writing, financial management, administration of research projects and professional development, including resources for staff to collaborate with research colleagues in Ireland and internationally.

I have been involved in the administration of research in Mary Immaculate College for many years, and eventually committed my career to the advancement and support of research when becoming aVP Research in 2007. It has been most rewarding over the years to observe the exponential rise in research engagement and research productivity in the College. It is my hope and intention that our research mission will continue to widen and deepen in the coming years.
