Research Support Office
The Research Support Office offers services dedicated to the support and enhancement of research across the College, including support to College staff, Post-Doctoral Students, Postgraduates and Research Centres. The office is staffed by a Higher Executive Officer and a Clerical officer, who assist the Associate Vice President Research who has overall oversight and management responsibility for research with in the College. The following are some of the key roles performed by the Research Support Office –
- identifying and securing research funding opportunities, as associated work with regard to funding applications
- expert knowledge regarding funders’ aims, objectives and regulations
- creation and management of research records, financial records and audit records
- implementation of research policies and application procedures
- processing budgetary/finance transactions
- maintaining research statistics
- handling enquiries from faculty on research related matters
- problem solving regarding externally funded projects / programmes
- production of College research newsletter
Research Support in Mary Immaculate College
Mary Immaculate College has put in place several provisions to enhance the research culture within the College and provide incentives for staff to engage in professional research and development.
