ONLINE MODULE REGISTRATION Spring SEMESTER 2012

All students on taught programmes must register their modules for Semester 1 online using the Online Student Records portal between Monday January 23rd and Friday January 27th

EXCEPTION: If you are student enrolling on Year 1 of a taught postgraduate programme that does not commence until after Week 1 then Student Services will complete your SEM1 module registration for you, however, you will be required to register online for SEM2 in Spring 2012 yourself

EXCEPTION: If you are a 3rd year BA in Liberal Arts student participating on the Off-Campus programme in 2011/12 you do not have to register online, Student Services will complete your SEM1 and SEM2 module registration for you

EXCEPTION: If you are an International Exchange student you do not have to register online. Student Services will complete your SEM1 and SEM2 module registration for you

EXCEPTION: Students on Research Programmes (including the Structured PhD in Education and Structured PhD in Philosophy of Art and Culture) are not required to register online, Student Services will complete module registration for you.

To access the Online Student Records portal go to www.si.ul.ie

Enter your ID number in the ID/Username box and enter your PIN/Password in the PIN/Password box

If this is your 1st time logging in to the Online Student Records portal then your PIN is 9999 – you will be prompted to change this to a PIN of your own choice once you login

You will also be prompted to enter your Date of Birth in the format DDMMYY

If you have logged in to the Online Student Records portal before but cannot remember your PIN/Password please send an email containing your ID number to pinreset@mic.ul.ie to request a new PIN/Password

Once you have logged in click on the link that says Click here to complete your module registration

If you encounter an error or problem while completing online registration please email pinreset@mic.ul.ie stating your name and ID number, and a brief description of the problem

What is Online Registration?
Online Registration is where you confirm to the College that you are a current student on a Programme and also the modules you are taking as part of your programme.
Who needs to Register?
All students on Taught Programmes are required to register in week 1 of each academic semester. The online registration process is required to:

Allow you to participate in your programme of study

Confirm to Student Services and your relevant Department that you intend to take these modules and also, to allow entry to end of semester exams

Inclusion on class lists, grading sheets and reports for faculty.
What happens if I don't Register?
If you do not complete the online registration process during week one you will be subject to a late registration fee of €30, you will also not be included on Module Class list and Grading Sheets and reports for faculty
