Content: A collaborative project between Cambridge University Press and the Royal Irish Academy. It is the most comprehensive and authoritative biographical dictionary yet published for Ireland.

Griffith's Valuation

Subject: History
Content: The primary valuation of Ireland or Griffith's Valuation was published between 1847 and 1864. It was used to determine the amount of tax each person should pay towards the support of the poor within their poor law union. This involved determining the value of all privately held lands and buildings in rural as well as urban areas. The valuation is arranged by county, barony, poor law union, parish and townland and it lists every landholder and every householder in Ireland.

Oireachtas Library & Research Service

Content:  (1) The Documents Laid Collection is composed of government reports, annual accounts, and other important documents that are formally presented to the parliament. The collection dates from the 1920s

(2) The Historical Collection  following Irish independence, the newly established Dáil Library sought out materials for purchase, with a view to building up the Library's collections. These materials are now  freely available to view or download.
