Mary Immaculate College Open Days 2014
Mary Immaculate College will open its doors and welcome potential students during its Open Days on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th October, showcasing MIC’s wide range of courses, extra-curricular activities and exceptional facilities and allow students to savour first-hand the unsurpassed student-staff relationship fostered at the College. Opens Days will run from 9am-3pm on Thursday 16th and 9am-2pm on Friday.
Following a very successful Open Day event last year, with record numbers attending from all over Ireland, Mary Immaculate College is once again offering prospective students the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff, mingle with current MIC students, and take a tour of our recently re-developed and upgraded campus. This is the ideal opportunity for prospective students to explore the campus and experience the distinctive and friendly atmosphere that is MIC. Visitors will be impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities and highly sought after programmes that mark Mary Immaculate College apart from other third level institutions.
Prospective students will view course presentations from the Dean of Arts and the Dean of Education. Students are then invited to browse information stands on the wide range of courses and subjects offered by MIC, and avail of the opportunity to actively engage with MIC faculty and staff by asking questions on student life and study at MIC. This is a unique opportunity to experience a taster of the high calibre education and student-staff relationships fostered at Mary Immaculate College so we would advise allowing two hours per visit. Students may also download our free MIC app to obtain information on all our programmes and services available in advance of their visit.
Feedback from Guidance Counsellors in attendance last year was extremely positive, with one from Birr, Co. Offaly stating ‘"The student-led tours at MIC are very effective. Open Days are very informative and worthwhile", while another from Hospital, Co. Limerick said "Students were very impressed by how welcome they felt. Also they were impressed by the new facilities on campus."
A free shuttle bus service will operate on both days between Mary Immaculate College, LIT and UL.
If you can’t attend these dates no need to worry as Mary Immaculate College will host a further Open Day on Saturday 17th January 2015.
