English Language Programmes:

Experienced university language teachers specialising in English as a Foreign Language

Evening course:
Monday and Wednesday evening 19:00 – 21:00
Total cost: €245 (includes course book)
Intensive daytime course:
20 hours per week Monday to Friday
Total cost per week: €250 (includes course book)

Focus on IELTS (Academic)

The Focus on IELTS programme includes the following modules:

• English as a Foreign Language
• English for Academic Purposes
• IELTS Preparation

 *An IELTS score of 6.5 or approved equivalency test score is the English language requirement for direct entry onto undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at MIC and most institutions. Students may wish to complete a pre-sessional English language programme before commencing full-time studies at Mary Immaculate College or another institution.


Improve Your English (General)

Improve your English is designed for students who wish to improve their general English language skills.  Programmes can be customised to suit particular audiences.

University Foundation Programme & English

This programme is a one year foundation programme focussing on English for academic purposes and academic writing and designed for students who have been accepted onto a degree programme.
