Department of History

Postgraduate Studies

The Department of History welcomes applications for research MA and Ph.D degrees.

Applicants should normally have a primary degree, with History as a major subject, of at least second–class honours level.

Candidates should be able to indicate clearly their main area of interest so that they can be directed to the appropriate faculty member for further discussion and preparation of a 1,500–word outline of the proposed research topic.

Students will normally only be accepted for research in areas in which the Department has a particular specialisation.
