Associate Vice President  - Specific Responsibilities

  • Acting as Secretary to An tÚdarás Rialaithe (Governing Authority), Coiste Bainistíochta an Choláiste (Management Committee), and An Bord Acadúil, preparing reports from Coiste Bainistíochta an Choláiste (Management Committee)and from An Bord Acadúil to An tÚdarás Rialaithe and providing support to the President in the management of the subcommittees of the various College bodies;
  • Liaising with external bodies (Department of Education and Science, Higher Education Authority, and other institutions and agencies);
  • Liaising with Senior Management, Heads of Department, Function Heads and faculty members, as appropriate in relation to the decisions of College Bodies;
  • Acting as the College's Freedom of Information Officer, with overall responsibility for decision making in relation to F.O.I. decisions;
  • Co-ordinating of Socrates, Comenius, Erasmus programmes and of other European and international applications;
  • Chairing the College's Information Technology Committee with responsibility for overseeing the ongoing development of the College's Information Systems and the College's IT Services;
  • Co-ordinating the College's public relations and marketing activities;
  • Overseeing the preparing, collating and publication of Annual Reports and other documents as required by the College, the University, the Higher Education Authority and the Department of Education and Science, etc.
  • Beidh dualgas ar leith ar an Chomhleasuachtarán i leith polasaí dátheangach an Choláiste. (The Associate Vice-President will be responsible for the development and furtherance of the College's bilingual policy).
