Student Parent Support Service
Mary Immaculate College offers a dedicated service to student parents and expectant parents through the Student Parent Support Service. The service which began in October 2007 is funded by the HSE Crisis Pregnancy Programme and Mary I Students’ Union (MISU).
The aim of the service is to ensure that students experiencing crisis pregnancy, expectant parents and student parents are aware of the supports available to them, both within the College, and with external agencies.
MIC is the only Irish third-level college with a specifically dedicated service for expectant/student parents to which over 260 students have engaged to date. In a college that has at the core of its mission a commitment to provide ‘an environment where all have freedom and opportunity to achieve their full potential’, the SPSS achieves just that!
