Learner Support Unit (LSU)
The LSU was set up in 1997 with the aim of providing academic support for students taking a degree at MIC.
The unit aims to improve the quality of learning by supporting students in the transition to third level study. The original brief of the LSU was to promote access routes for mature students and it remains a strong advocate for mature students in Mary Immaculate College. Among its staff are an Academic Support Counsellor and Academic Support Tutors.
Students are welcome to drop in to the unit for advice on any aspect of learning at MIC. The centre is located in the rooms C1-C4 (if you are unsure where this is, ask at main reception for directions).
