Research Postgraduate Degrees
The Department of History welcomes applications for research M.A. and Ph.D. degrees.
Applicants should normally have a primary degree, with History as a major subject, of at least second–class honours level. Candidates should be able to indicate clearly their main area of interest so that they can be directed to the appropriate faculty member for further discussion and, if appropriate, preparation of an application.
Students will normally only be accepted for research in areas in which the Department has a particular specialisation.
For further information on the Research and Publication profiles of staff members see Staff Members Page.
Further information on the application process is available here. You can find information on the Research and Graduate School at Mary Immaculate College here.
