Current Teaching: Urbanisation, Urban Geography and Planning; Economic Geography.

Research Interests: Urbanisation in Ireland, the development of the Irish urban system, and its role as mediator of regional development; spatial planning; intra-urban patterns of social differentiation with particular focus on polarisation, segregation and social exclusion; regional economic change.
