Léacht Poiblí/Public Lecture: 'Soldiering on: Ireland's National Anthem from 1916 to 2016'
'The Soldier's Song' was selected with reluctance by the Irish Free State Executive Council in 1926 as Ireland's national anthem. Dr. Michael Murphy explores the history of the national anthem with a particular emphasis on how the relationship between Ireland and England has impacted on it to date.

Taispeátas/Exhibition: Life of a Child at School in the 1916 period.
A model 1916-style classroom will be reconstructed and exhibited.
